Have you considered joining the Rock Choir organisation – they meet locally in several venues – always looking for new members – they might be interested in meeting at the community centre? The local tutor is brilliant and we have a lot of fun.

The Walking Group use the cafe in the park as a base and enjoy a coffee or tea there after the walk. For more than eight months we have been told that it is intended that the cafe will serve jacket potatoes and other snacks and that these items are already marked in the till machine. Whenever we have asked when is this going to happen, the stock answer has always been that the equipment to cook same has been bought and that they are just waiting for “the girls” to complete their hygiene certificates.

Does anyone have any idea when this service is going to start? There are many customers from the walking group who are ready and waiting to savour these delicacies!

Hi – just got this from the Friends of Westminster Park

The equipment has been in use for two weeks and is used by all age groups. It is inspected weekly and we have a three year maintainance contract.

please advise re newly installed outdoor gym; is it free to use, is it intended solely for adults and/or senior citizens, is it regularly monitored/maintained, when is it available etc. thank you.

I vaguely recall the prospect of an outdoor gym opening in WP some time this autumn. Is there any more news about it – couldn’t find anything on website.
