There are a number of large ponds which we have a good view of and on a number of occasions when moving empty pots and materials our garden, we often find lots of newts &#8211; most of them are palmate newts or smooth newts, but sometimes we are lucky to find some great crested newts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve attached some pictures of the Great Crested newt we found last spring\/early summer, when newts are out and about\u00a0foraging for food and moving back to the ponds to lay their eggs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>regards<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Jones &amp;
