{"id":3603,"date":"2026-04-07T18:29:20","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T17:29:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wp-ra.org.uk\/?p=3603"},"modified":"2026-04-07T18:29:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T17:29:20","slug":"wpra-response-to-redrows-new-160-house-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wp-ra.org.uk\/?p=3603","title":{"rendered":"WPRA response to Redrow&#8217;s new 160 house plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Redrow recently held a short consultation over new plans to build 160 houses on Greenbelt land south of Kings Moat Village.\u00a0 The farmland stretches between the Park &amp; Ride on Wrexham Road to the east and Lache Lane to the west.\u00a0 At present the plans show pedestrian and emergency access points onto Lache Lane with the main entrance off the Park &amp; Ride roundabout.<\/p>\n<p>WPRA has objected to these plans on the basis that: a) the site is Greenbelt and therefore designed to prevent urban sprawl, b) Cheshire West and Chester Council are midway through developing the next Local Plan involving identifying new sites for housebuilding and it should not be assumed that this will be one of them, c) the local infrastructure has not yet been developed to absorb the extra people from Kings Moat, particularly in relation to medical services.<\/p>\n<p>The full submission can be found here:<\/p>\n<iframe src=\"\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wp-ra.org.uk%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2026%2F04%2FWPRA-response-to-the-Redrow-Wrexham-Road-Development-extension-proposal.pdf&hl=en_US&embedded=true\" class=\"gde-frame\" style=\"width:100%;
