1.<\/strong><\/td>\nMINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING<\/strong> The minutes of the previous meeting held on 9th November 2011 were reviewed and accepted as accurate.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2.<\/strong><\/td>\nMATTERS ARISING<\/strong> Road markings at Claypit and Rushfield Road have now been carried out. CCTV \u2013 Use of camera by residents above the Co-Op will continue unless anyone else requests use.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\nTREASURER\u2019S REPORT<\/strong> NR reported that accounts are nearly ready for auditing.\u00a0 Surplus of \u00a3300 and a very healthy balance from last year. 2012 subscriptions are well ahead.\u00a0 147 residents have provided email addresses.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\nNEWSLETTER\/MEDIA<\/strong> Contact MP for advertising .\u00a0 Copy by mid February. For sale section on web page. Consolidate Facebook entry.\u00a0 Encourage users with offer of voucher from local shops. DC suggested newsletter for Westminster Park (like Overleigh Roundabout) which would be funded by advertising and produced annually.\u00a0 Dave will put together a draft for next meeting.\u00a0 It would be distributed with Forum Newseletter.<\/td>\n\u00a0 \u00a0 LC\/DC\/MS \u00a0 DC\/LC \u00a0 \u00a0 DC<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5.<\/strong><\/td>\nOVER 60S CLUB<\/strong> 84 people attended first meeting.\u00a0 Club to be called Evergreen will meet monthly ~ it will have a separate committee and 9 people volunteered.\u00a0 Suggested annual subscription is \u00a310 pa and there would be a nominal fee charged at each session (more if a speaker attended or food provided).\u00a0 Session would run for 1.5 hours with suggested topics:\u00a0 history of Chester, healthy eating, gardening tips, environmental issues, IT session, concerts\/ theatre trip, games (quiz, bingo, beetle drive, scrabble), choir, community help. SM & AS to meet initially to plan programme with a speaker for first meeting. WPCC availability is limited.\u00a0 Hire of hall is \u00a310 per hour.\u00a0 WPRA insurance covers public liability and legal expenses.\u00a0 Broker to be notified of extra events.\u00a0 LC\u2019s Father will read through paperwork to check.<\/td>\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 AS\/SM \u00a0 NR\/LC<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6.<\/strong><\/td>\nNOTICEBOARD<\/strong> Agreed that all posters should be no larger than A5 size and that adverts should be placed on a small postcard.\u00a0 Noticeboard will remain as it is for the time being.\u00a0 DP and AS are the keyholders.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7.<\/strong><\/td>\nWPRA:\u00a0 AREA OF BENEFIT<\/strong> Ramsden Court (off Green Lane) is included in the WPRA area.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
8.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\nGARDENING CLUB<\/strong> The next meeting of the Gardening Club will be Wednesday, 28 March 2012. Paul and Sylvia Makin will give an illustrated talk on how they designed and developed their garden in Cavendish Road. \u00a0\u00a0Plant swap as usual. MP will put something in the Newsletter. Daffodils coming up on.\u00a0 Mike Pollard willing to help plant more.<\/td>\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 MP JS<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\nSOCIAL EVENTS<\/strong> Musical evening has been arranged for Saturday 3rd<\/sup> March at 8 pm in WPCC.\u00a0 70 tickets are available, of which 19 have been sold.\u00a0 SM to organise supper (\u00a3250 budget) and Chester Operatic Society will cost \u00a3275.\u00a0 BW has tickets for sale.<\/td>\n\u00a0 \u00a0 SM BW<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

It was agreed that thank you notes would be sent to volunteers but not gifts\/ \u00a0flowers.<\/td>\n

WPCC ~ JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS<\/h4>\n

Jubilee celebrations to include WPRA, WPCC, School, Scouts & local councillors.\u00a0 SB to speak to Belgrave to see if they have any plans in place.\u00a0 Suggested date 1st<\/sup> June.\u00a0 Committee to be formed with representatives of all interested parties.\u00a0 BW volunteered for WPRA.\u00a0 WPRA to work with WPCC to promote Jubilee celebrations and to engage with any other events to the benefit of Westminster Park residents.<\/td>\n
