\"\"<\/a>2012 is the 40th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of the opening of our school here in Lache, Chester.\u00a0 Originally St. Francis\u2019 School in Cuppin Street, our School Log Book from the time records that the new school opened in April 1972 as\u00a0\u2018 St. Clare\u2019s Roman Catholic Aided Combined and Middle School\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Log Book makes very interesting reading, and records many significant events, not just for the school, but for the local and wider community.<\/p>\n

We also have a \u2018Punishment Book\u2019 for St. Francis\u2019 School dating from 1928!<\/p>\n

To celebrate the occasion we are working with all our children to research the history of the last 40 years, and this will culminate in a special Open Afternoon, to be held on Thursday 6th<\/sup>\u00a0December starting at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Any past pupils, parents and staff of St Clare\u2019s or St. Francis\u2019 are warmly invited to join us for this occasion.<\/p>\n

A 70\u2019s Day and Disco will be held for current pupils and staff on Friday 7th<\/sup>\u00a0December.<\/p>\n
