The administration centre for the above club is based in Westminster Park and the Club also own their own premises at Saltney Ferry.

Do you have model trains in a box in your attic or garage and would like advice on the best ways of disposing of them?
Would you like to begin railway modelling and don’t know how or where to start?
Members of the Chester MRC would be pleased to offer impartial advice.

The Club is holding an open day with exhibitions of layouts on Sat/Sun 11th/12th May at Upton Royal British Legion Club.

Evergreen’s next meeting.

The next meeting at the Community Centre is on Thursday 17th January 2013 at 2.00 – 3.30p.m.

Our guest speaker for this session is Gaynor Roberts from Chester Trading Standards, who will enlighten us of the many fraud scams, give advice and answer questions.

This should be an extremely interesting session and we look forward to seeing many of you join us.

Complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits will be available.

We will be distributing our ‘Evergreen Constitution’ ahead of our A.G.M. in February and also membership forms for the next membership year beginning in February.

Please note that for insurance purposes and as part of the Constitution, all ‘Evergreen’ members from February will need to be members of the Westminster Park Residents’ Association and all new members will have to be Westminster Park Residents.

Xmas Lights Switch On

You cannot pass the shops at night without admiring our Christmas tree and tree lights. Francis Thomas kindly provided the tree at cost and the WPRA erected it. The Co-op provides the source of electricity and the Council have installed the lights in the trees facing the shops.

Attending the big “Switch on” on Thursday, 6 December I don’t think I have ever seen so many people gathered round the shops. Our MP, Stephen Moseley, the Lord Mayor and our local councillors were there together with what seemed like half the residents of Westminster Park.

Although it was raining (yet again!) it was undoubtedly an enjoyable occasion with a strong sense of community spirit. There was mulled wine, mince pies, biscuits and hot dogs and thanks go to many of the shops for providing these. Excellent performances by Belgrave School orchestra and choir completed the evening before the Lord Mayor switched on the lights.
