Just an update from us – we are altering our opening hours due to ever changing circumstances;
TUESDAY – SATURDAY
10am – 4pm
It has become obvious Fridays and Saturdays are our busiest days of the week and we would urge people to come to the shop earlier in the week to if they can to alleviate the pressure in the shop and of course the queue!

Westminster Park Golf Course is currently shut in line with Government and CWaC guidelines. Please do not use the facility. Golfstorehouse advise that dog walkers should not use this area to exercise their dogs, particularly as essential maintenance is being undertaken which includes spraying chemicals.

Should you still be going out and about? Do you need help with shopping, prescriptions, etc?
There is a solution – WPRA’s local support network for the over 70s and medically vulnerable.
Government guidance is clear – stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out, particularly if you are medically extremely vulnerable. Westminster Park Residents’ Association has organised a local support network of neighbours to assist those who are staying at home.

We have over 200 volunteers who would be delighted to collect your prescriptions, do some shopping for you, or even walk your dog in order to enable you to stay safely at home.

B&Q are reopening this weekend…

Our local Councillor, Razia Daniels, has asked us to plant a few sunflowers in our gardens. The aim is to cheer everyone who sees their bright faces. So, if you have some seeds get planting and sharing with your neighbours.
Seeds are still available from some online suppliers and if we can get them planted before the end of May we should still see a good summer display.
Maybe children would like to try to grow the tallest?
If you have any spare seedlings perhaps put them on the plant swap area by the shops?

Teresa Keast, one of our local yoga teachers, is recovering from coronavirus and has now started holding online yoga classes for her usual participants.  She is not able to make them available to all for insurance reasons, but thought that residents might find some of her breathing, meditation and relaxation sessions helpful.

The first link is to a simple yoga breathing technique for Inner Peace that might help anyone who is feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed and wants to return to a more peaceful state.  If people are not able to stand or balance standing well it can be done in a chair.
